Janice Frydman is an RN Care Manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing the needs of compromised individuals. Janice attended a three year diploma program in nursing, followed by Boston University School of Nursing, with a major in nursing and a minor in Gerontology.
Janice is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and is a member of Aging Life Care Association (ALCA).
Janice’s calm demeanor, educational background, vast experience and genuine interest allow her to be valuable in her work with her clients.
Joshua earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brandeis University, before studying to become a Registered Nurse at UMass Amherst. He most recently completed his Master’s Degree to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Regis College. Josh has built a career helping people with a variety of mental illnesses and specializes in geriatric cases that involve a psychiatric need, in addition to the complications of aging. He has experience working in inpatient, residential, and home-based settings.
His work as a care manager helps guide appropriate care and treatment for a variety of elderly individuals who need assistance navigating today’s complicated healthcare landscape. He currently lives in Wakefield with his wife, daughter and chihuahua.
Jennifer was born in Boston and raised in New Jersey. She returned to Boston for her undergraduate degree, attending Boston College. Jennifer went on to obtain her Master’s in Social Work at Boston University.
Jennifer has worked in healthcare for over 15 years, specifically with the senior and adult populations. She has extensive experience working with Nursing Homes, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Assisted Living Facilities and Independent Living facilities. Jen worked in hospice as a Social Worker and Program Director for over ten years. She joined the team at AZA Care Management in November 2022 as the Director of Care Management.
Jennifer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She is certified as a Care Manager (CMC) and certified in Hospice and Palliative Care (ACHP-SW).
Adrianna has known from a very young age that supporting families and advocating for older adults is not only her career, but her passion. She has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of settings with seniors, beginning in her hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Her expertise is primarily working with older adults and families that suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. She attended Champlain College, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a specialization in Mental Health and Aging.
While obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, she became a Certified Home Health Aide working with seniors with a wide range of cognitive and physical health concerns. Shortly after, she moved to Boston in 2013 to further pursue her career working with this population. She held several management roles in various Assisted Living communities, and became a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Adrianna attended Boston College where she earned her Master’s of Social Work (MSW), specializing in older adults and families.
While receiving her MSW, she interned with AZA Care Management and Norwood Hospital in the Geriatric Psychiatry unit. In the last several years she has worked closely with families and seniors coaching them through various transitions that occur with aging and through the difficult disease process of dementia. In Adrianna’s spare time she enjoys walking her dog Kal-El, snowboarding up north, spending time in Plum Island with her significant other, and working on house renovations. Adrianna is known for her enthusiasm for life, high energy, and love for seniors. She is a strong advocate for her clients, and always empowers them to make the best decision for their current stage in life.
Peter is a lifelong resident of the Boston area. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on Psychiatric Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work.
Peter was a founding member and former President of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA) and was former President of the Foundation for Rehabilitation Research and Education, the parent organization of the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC). Peter was a developer and board member of the Commission for Certification in Case Management (CCM).
Peter has worked in geriatric and disability care management for over 40 years with a specialization in multi-generational issues and the intersection of aging and mental health.
Lorraine is a registered nurse who has vast experience working with older individuals. Most of her career consists of positions focused on the needs and management of the geriatric population.
As an Adult Nurse Practitioner, she practiced in a Boston neighborhood center. She directed hospital-based and outpatient case management programs. As a clinician and manager at Atrius Health (Harvard Pilgrim Health Care,) she collaborated with community physician groups and health care insurance providers to improve care and services for older patients. She also worked as a nurse and manager for two large, local Aging Services Access Points (ASAPs) agencies. Lorraine joined AZA Care Management in 2017.
Lorraine’s educational background includes an RN degree from Jeffrey Hale’s Hospital in Quebec; Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA; BSM and MBA from University of Massachusetts in Boston, MA. She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA).
Mary Lou Masterpole has worked as an LICSW social work care manager with AZA Care Management for 20 years and prior to that as Clinical Director at Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Newton, MA. She earned a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Boston University with a focus on social work in the healthcare system.
Mary Lou is committed to working with AZA clients and their families in their homes or residential settings, focusing on their needs related to illness or aging and supporting their families and others involved with them. Given the complexities and issues of the health care system, guidance by a care manager can be essential.
In her spare time Mary Lou enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and spending time with her daughter and son-in-law.
LuAnn has worked for over twenty-five years in the eldercare field with a strong focus on dementia care. LuAnn has worked with families providing advocacy, strategic planning and support. She has worked as an Executive Director of Memory Care Assisted Living facilities and
Director of Memory Care in the Community Care Retirement Community (CCRC) setting. This experience solidified her commitment to learn more about managing this disease.
As a care manager with AZA, LuAnn has worked with clients presenting with a wide range of needs. Her focus is on finding solutions and always keeping the preferences of her clients in mind.
She holds a Masters in Counseling and Psychology. LuAnn is an Advanced Professional member of Aging Life Care Association (ALCA) and a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).
