Tips for Summer Care

For those of you who have loved-ones who are able to get around with comfort or a little help, you should plan ahead so that they are not surprised or confused – and are prepared for the activity. If possible, you may be able to give them a choice of a couple of different day trips or vacations, visits to museums or old neighborhoods.

Use caution when taking them out or if they want to venture out on their own that they stay hydrated and avoid situations that may cause heatstroke. Make sure your loved-ones are eating well and that they are dressed properly with protective attire to protect them from the dangers of heat and sun.

Traveling short or long distances, or even day trips, may be wearing on older people, so make sure they get enough rest to enjoy the activities and stay healthy at the same time.
